Zweibruecken Broadcasting Company

The Zweibruecken Broadcasting Company was founded when owner R. Bob Teachout bought radio station WPUV-AM, Pulaski, Virginia, USA. WPUV was formatted as a Christian radio station with an emphasis on Christian country music. In June 1997, events required the station to close down. Teachout returned to Syracuse, New York. He then bought time on radio station WVOA-FM to broadcast his call-in talk show "S.O.S. (School of Scrutiny)". The show was produced under the auspices of the Zweibruecken Broadcasting Company.
The name Zwiebruecken was chosen as Teachout had been stationed in that German city with the US Army from 1971-1977. Zweibruecken can be translated as "two bridges". (At one time there were only 2 bridges in the city.) This also symbolizes the Christian philosophy that there are two bridges to heaven: grace and faith.
